Thailand resident instructions

Check AFVC residence requirements before resort searches

Sources checked: 25 October 2026

Practical guide

At a glance

Explore listed Thailand and regional resorts after confirming AFVC’s U.S.-residency requirement.

Membership and residence requirements

The legal terms limit membership to U.S. residents in eligible military/veteran/retiree, Guard/Reserve, Gold Star, civilian DoD or AUSA categories and specified immediate-family relationships. AFVC may request proof. Do not treat citizenship, a U.S. mailing address, or veteran status alone as satisfying residency. A Thailand-resident applicant should resolve eligibility with AFVC before joining.

What is actually offered

Standard membership has no enrollment fee; Premium is optional and paid. This is commercial resort inventory, not military Space-A aircraft travel. Its directory lists Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan and Laos properties. Examples include Club Wyndham Patong Hill Phuket, Melia Chiang Mai and ALMA Resort in Vietnam. Directory listings are not availability guarantees.

Booking and costs

Use date and destination filters only after confirming eligibility. The search page currently advertises R&R stays from $499 and says displayed mandatory resort fees are included except all-inclusive resorts; property terms and fees can change. Rates are not a promise for Thailand dates. Check local-currency charges, meal requirements, occupancy and cancellation before paying.
