Practical guide

At a glance

Eligible military patrons and honorably discharged veterans can use this leisure-booking portal to compare trip prices.

Who qualifies

Military OneSource includes active duty, Guard/Reserve, Coast Guard, retirees, eligible family members and eligible civilian employees. Honorably discharged veterans are also eligible; retirement or a disability rating is not required for that category. Verification checks DEERS, with VETVerify available when initial verification fails. The reviewed pages do not establish a separate Thailand-resident exclusion; individual supplier conditions still apply.

Booking and limitations

Start at AmericanForcesTravel.com, verify eligibility, and search Asia dates and destinations. It sells flights, hotels, rental cars, packages and cruises worldwide. Compare the same itinerary against the supplier’s direct price. The official FAQ says companions generally may travel with the eligible patron where the supplier permits it. Hotel loyalty points may not accrue. Refunds after a military-flight cancellation follow the supplier’s cancellation policy, so protect any Space-A-linked booking with suitable flexibility. Resort and optional fees may apply.
