Add a spouse or stepchild
Adding a spouse or Thai stepchild to one agency does not enroll them everywhere. VA compensation dependents, CHAMPVA, DEA and DEERS/TRICARE have different eligibility rules and applications.
Prepare and claim survivor benefits
VA DIC, military SBP, a federal civilian survivor annuity and Social Security survivors benefits are different programs. None should be assumed from the existence of another.
Arrange DEERS or ID-card service from Thailand
JUSMAGTHAI currently advertises DEERS / ID-card walk-in service Tuesdays and Thursdays, 09:00–12:00, with no appointments. Confirm your specific service and documents before travel.
Check additional compensation when a spouse needs personal care
A veteran receiving disability compensation may qualify for additional compensation when an eligible spouse needs regular aid and attendance.
